Since hatching from a pterodactyl egg in the mid nineteen seventies Greg has invented three notable inventions and major contributions to the western world, he started in 1983 when the Wagon Wheel smashed it’s way to the top of the British confectionary charts only to be quickly forgotten a year later when the walnut whip reared it’s ugly head. His second invention the greeting card found greater longevity still proving to be just as popular today as it did in the cold dark autumn of 1985. But what really defined Greg was his invention of the production runner in 1988. However perhaps surprisingly it took him 19 years to practice what he once preached when he spent a week running all over Soho just like he had originally envisaged buying buckets of Soya milk lattes, elaborate plates of biscuits and kiwi smoothies whilst supplying such top music video directors as Roman Soldjas, Michelle Gonorrhea and Ted Rogers.
Taking inspiration from his film degree (London College Communications 2003 – 2006) and running work he constructed his first camera made out of chocolate bourbons half eaten by top promo directors. With this primitive camera he created such short film gems as A Mouse Funeral (runner up in the VX Auteur Theory Award), Poulet Vous and Plane Games and screening work at every major short festival in the country (Soho Rushes, Encounters and The London Short Film Festival). This work quickly aroused the attention of top producer Simon Poon Tip who immediately snapped him up, stuck a water pistol to his head and made him direct music videos for the likes of Does It Offend you, Yeah? (‘Epic Last Song’ winner of best music video at the Renderyard festival) and Lime Headed Dog (‘Francis Bacon’ screened at Bug 09).
